With the selection order set for the top of the NFL Draft 2018, the question now, for many teams, is which quarterback is their best bet.

Settling the debate between who is really the better quarterback in the upcoming NFL Draft class isn’t going to necessarily be easy. There are plenty of guys with some question marks, but Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield from Oklahoma doesn’t want to be one of them.

One of the other star quarterbacks that are going to be available will be that of Josh Rosen from UCLA, who opted out of a senior year with the Bruins under new head coach Chip Kelly to go the professional route.

UCLA didn’t come close to winning a title this season, and Oklahoma fought their way into the playoff before getting their hearts broken in the semifinal by Georgia in overtime. Along the way, Mayfield’s Heisman victory and the overall dominance of the team with him on the field will make scouts give him a good look before draft day.

Character issues were once a concern for Rosen, but it seems as though he’s put that chapter behind him. Depending on where he lands next, there is a strong reason to belief that he can be a real difference maker for a team in need of a star at that position.

Something to also keep in mind given our latest sampling of star quarterbacks coming out of college is that their success at the collegiate level isn’t necessarily going to transfer to the NFL as quickly as some of us — especially if they land on your favorite team — would hope.

But after a first year of getting their feet beneath them, we’ve seen how quickly the turnaround can be from the sophomore campaigns of Jared Goff in Los Angeles and Carson Wentz in Philadelphia.

Now teams will get to ponder what the next decision will be for their franchise, and if Rosen or Mayfield are going to be a part of it. With that being said, here’s a breakdown of one thing each quarterback is superior at compared to the other, and then one thing that’s more of a coin flip that will be fun to watch for.
