4/20- 4/22 vs. the Washington Nationals @ Dodger Stadium

The Dodgers didn’t play Bryce Harper and the Nationals in the 2017 playoffs. The Cubs were the team that beat Washington in Game Five, continuing their run without an appearance in the NLCS. Though that may be the case, the Nationals are an exceptional team. Should the Dodgers and the Nationals both make the playoffs again, a matchup between the two is more than likely.

This series could be the Dodgers’ first taste of October.

Many changes have been made this offseason, specifically managerial ones, and the Nationals have been at the forefront of it. In a move that shocked many, Dusty Baker was fired as the Nationals manager, a position now held by former Cubs bench coach, Dave Martinez.

The Dodgers and the Nationals are two of the most elite teams in the National League. That won’t change, not for a long time, but if the Dodgers are to return to the World Series, they need to take advantage of games like these. The Dodgers need to figure out what the new Nationals team looks like, before the unknown impacts a potential postseason run.
