6/12- 6/13 vs. the Texas Rangers @ Dodger Stadium

The Dodgers know one American League team from Texas incredibly well, but come June, LA will meet the other. The Rangers and the Dodgers aren’t exactly strangers, though. The July 31st trade deadline, in which the Dodgers traded top-prospect Willie Calhoun for Yu Darvish, put the two teams in contact, and this season, they’ll be playing against each other in Los Angeles.

This series will bring about some of the most interesting matchups of the season. Cole Hamels and Clayton Kershaw could start the game for their respective teams. Joey Gallo, who hit 41 home runs in 2017, will share first base with the reigning NL Rookie of the Year, Cody Bellinger. And Elvis Andrus, who boasted 25 stolen bases last season will play short, along with Dodgers’ All-Star Corey Seager.

This series, above anything else, will expose the intricacies, and beauty, of interleague play.

The Rangers are a team the Dodgers rarely ever meet and after a seven-game series against the Astros, LA will see the other side of the Lone Star series.
