Trade to the Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers are in serious trouble. This time around, the January meltdown that always seems to plague the Cavs seems much more real. Cleveland cannot play defense officially and has resorted to bringing Tristan Thompson back in the starting lineup.

Kevin Love and Isaiah Thomas have been terrible defensively and Jae Crowder has not been the “three-and-D” savior that everyone expected. LeBron James is doing about all he can to carry the Cavaliers to a postseason berth. Moves are imminent, likely in the form of Isaiah Thomas.

With Kevin Love now out six to eight weeks with a hand injury, there is definitely trouble in paradise in Cleveland.

Most importantly, though, the Cleveland Cavaliers must add DeAndre Jordan. It has been a rumor circling for weeks. If LeBron wants title number four, Jordan may be the only answer.

According to Skip Bayless, sources told The Undisputed that the Cavaliers and Jordan have a mutual interest in pairing up, and for all the right reasons. Cleveland needs a rim protector that can rebound the basketball and is a consistent scorer. All of those factors point directly to DeAndre Jordan.

Most importantly, the Cavaliers have assets to trade away. Perhaps the team wants to go full defensive and pull off a Thomas for Patrick Beverley swap in the deal as well. The most coveted trade piece in the Cavs’ arsenal being the Nets’ 2018 first round pick; something they should not hesitate to trade for Jordan.

DeAndre Jordan and the Cleveland Cavaliers are a natural fit. There have been Clippers trade rumors around this deal for some time now. However, it is not the only deal on the table for Jordan’s services.
