The brother of Star Lotulelei, Lowell Lotulelei has made a name for himself at Utah and proves to be a third to fourth round selection in the 2018 NFL Draft. In our 2018 NFL Mock Draft, Loutulelei obviously fell to the Los Angeles Chargers in the fourth round and would be a great addition to an already stellar defensive line.

The Chargers defensive line was one of the best pass-rushing attacks in the league. Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram provided perhaps the best 1-2 punch in football. However, as talented as they were, they still struggled to stop the run.

Lotulelei is not great at every aspect of the game and will struggle to succeed against talented NFL guards. However, what Lotulelei does thrive in is using his brute strength and size to overpower smaller guards; something that will make him a huge impact in stopping the run.

The Chargers’ safeties were a lot better last season than many expected them to be in large part to Tre Boston. Boston signed a one-year deal with Los Angeles and lit it up, leading the team in interceptions and bringing veteran insight to a young secondary.

Chances are, bringing back Boston is atop the Los Angeles Chargers’ to-do list this offseason. However, the team still needs to add cushion, with or without Boston. Enter Dominick Sanders, whose ball instincts and good hands can help greatly in the passing game. With some refined skills, Sanders could even challenge for a starting spot in the future.
