Find a competent kicker:

This is probably the most important task at hand, in terms of immediate success. If the team had a reliable kicker this past season, it is a near guarantee that they would have made the playoffs.

The team signed former Tampa Bay Buccaneers second-round pick, Robert Aguayo, shortly after the season ended. Some fans were quickly outraged at the news of his signing, since he performed so poorly in Tampa Bay. This outrage is unwarranted though, as it is far from a certainty that Aguayo will be the team’s kicker going forward. The team will surely bring in some other competition at the position and let them battle for the roster spot.

I suspect that Aguayo will perform much better for Los Angeles, assuming he wins the job, as the immense pressure that comes with being a second-round kicker is no longer on him.

Regardless of whether Aguayo is the answer going forward or not, the team must do everything in their power to ensure that the position is secured before the start of next season.
