The Los Angeles Dodgers agenda for the 2017-2018 off-season was simple: Get under the luxury tax and replace the talent that walked away.

It is finally that time of year again: baseball season. Pitchers and catchers finally reported after what seemed like an eternity of an off-season. For fans of the Los Angeles Dodgers, this off-season seemed even longer. The last time the Dodgers fell 5-1 in game seven of the World Series. Nine innings, 27 outs away from World Series gold.

Sigh.

However, 2018 is a turn of a new year that hosts, for the most part, the same Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers developed a special chemistry together that was hard to tear apart. With most of the larger contracts on their way out and new smaller ones in tow, the Dodgers were able to get under the luxury tax and avoid penalty.

In doing so, the Dodgers are looking at mostly the same roster. LA did not take the bait with big names such as Giancarlo Stanton or Shohei Ohtani. Instead, they did what the most recent World Series Champions have done (Cubs, Astros) and relied on their in-house talent.

Now, the Dodgers are set up for yet another deep run that will likely include some sort of Trade Deadline deal that cements the team’s status.

However, although most of the team is returning to Chavez Ravine in 2018, there were some notable losses for the Dodgers during the off-season. However, Andrew Friedman’s front office was quick in replacing those holes. Here is how the Dodgers replaced each outgoing star during the off-season.

*Note: We are not including Adrian Gonzalez as Cody Bellinger had already replaced Gonzalez during the 2017 season.
