In LA Sports Hub’s second weekly Los Angeles Lakers Roundtable, the site’s NBA experts discuss how they would like to see the Lakers spend $61 million.

Well, it seems like the Los Angeles Lakers are all-in on this whole two superstars thing, aren’t they? We all expected the Lakers to make some sort of move for Jordan Clarkson this season, that seemed inevitable. However, after reports of the Lakers widening their sights to include the 2019 offseason, doubt trickled in the minds of the fans who already assumed 2018 was going to be great.

However, despite those reports, the Los Angeles Lakers are going full steam ahead towards a potential newsworthy summer. By sending Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr to the Cavaliers for Isaiah Thomas, the Lakers now have $61 million in practical cap space to spend; by far the most in the NBA — according to Spotrac.

Every fan, every expert, has a different opinion on what the Lakers should do with this money; and they should! Whether it is Paul George, DeMarcus Cousins, LeBron James or Klay Thompson in 2019, the possibilities are endless for Los Angeles.

Thus, to really get a grip on what the Lakers should do, we decided to make our second weekly Roundtable topic on just that; Keith Rivas, Isaac Gutierrez, Redan Lopez and myself all weighed in on how we would like to see the Lakers spend their money.

The question: “In your opinion, what is the ideal scenario for the Lakers this offseason (who to bring in, how much to spend, etc.)?”

Without further ado, let’s get right into what Keith had to say about the summer.
