2. Lonzo Ball still has high trade value

Not only is Lonzo Ball perhaps the easiest to replace of what the Lakers currently have, he still has some pretty high trade value as he still is only 20 years old. There are many teams that would, and should, be interested in the distributing style of basketball that Ball brings to the table. All signs are pointing that he can be a triple-double machine in a few seasons.

We talked about how the Lakers could get Anthony Davis, and Ball is included in the trade package. This is definitely the tip of the iceberg for a Lonzo Ball trade, but the Lakers can still get some nice returns as well.

One option could be Kemba Walker. By the time the off-season rolls around Walker will only be under contract for one more season. Wanting to get something out of Walker, the Hornets may send Walker to LA for Ball without attaching a fairly large contract; something that was necessary before.

Or, the Lakers could even get younger and get a draft pick. A young team could trade their draft pick, which would be somewhere in the 5-10 range, for Ball while eating Deng’s contract. While I am not entirely favorable to that move, it is something that can be done to open cap space.

Regardless, Ball still has great trade value that, really, can get the Lakers any kind of return they want.
