With the 160th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Rams select:

After 72 selections passed from their last selection, the Los Angeles Rams are finally on the board with the 160th pick.

And with that pick, the Rams should look to add receiving depth by selecting Northern Iowa’s Daurice Fountain.

The Los Angeles Rams are set up to cushion the potential loss of Sammy Watkins and should not be too negatively affected if he does leave. Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods will be Jared Goff’s first two targets. Deep threat, and 2017 draft pick Josh Reynolds, can also see more playing time as well.

However, the Rams should look to use the draft to add some depth at the position. While Fountain will not be heading into the season with a concrete role. If he thrives he can become one of Goff’s primary targets.

Fountain excelled at Northern Iowa in his senior campaign. In 13 games Fountain caught 66 passes for 943 yards and 12 touchdowns. At six-foot-two Fountain has decent wideout speed and he has the natural athleticism that will at least carry him to be a solid special teams option in the NFL.

Really, Fountain is nothing but upside. Draft Blaster has Fountain going in the fifth to seventh rounds, but really, he could far outplay his draft spot with his size and talent. His only real downfall is playing for a smaller school.
