Rams Rumors: The best fits for Tavon Austin outside of LA

Washington Redskins
The Washington Redskins feel like a team that is a lot better than their record indicates. The Redskins defense practically manhandled the Oakland Raiders during a September Monday Night Football Game. Granted, the Raiders were not as good as everyone thought, but it was a pure routing.
It should also be noted that the Redskins did battle injuries. However, playing in the NFC East alongside the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys, the Redskins are going to need all the help they can get. This is especially true in the receiving core, where the Redskins are lacking.
With new quarterback Alex Smith under center, the Redskins should be very busy this off-season in surrounding him with as many tools as possible. Austin would serve as a bargain addition, likely to the cost of a late-round draft pick, that could find himself playing a serious role in the offense.
We all saw how successful Tyreek Hill was with Alex Smith. We also know how Alex Smith can favor the short passes over the long ones. A receiver like Austin then becomes perfect on drag routes to get serious yards after the catch.
Austin still has promise and still is a very talented football player. Even if he is just using his speed to simply burn defenders, that would be enough to make a special tandem alongside Smith.
