Coming off of a 9-7 season, there is still work to be done for the Los Angeles Chargers.

NFL free agency is quickly approaching, and like any other team, the Los Angeles Chargers have holes to fill. While admittedly, they don’t need to make any huge splash in free agency, as the roster is in pretty good shape, there are still several places where it wouldn’t hurt to bring someone in.

In 2017, the Chargers ended the season as one of the best teams to not make the playoffs in recent memory. The team looked absolutely devastating during the second half of the season. It is safe to assume no one wanted to see them in the playoffs.

But what were the team’s weaknesses that caused them to start so poorly, resulting in them failing to make the playoffs? Some of these included run defense, running back depth, and run blocking. While these will likely all end up being addressed in the draft, at the very latest, why not attempt to fix problems such as those previously stated before draft night, via free agency?

Don’t answer that, because they absolutely should look to repair some of these deficiencies in this month’s free agency.

So if we all agree that they should make a free agency push, who is it that they should pursue? Let’s find out. Here are five of the players who would make the most sense for the Los Angeles Chargers to sign this offseason.
