LA Rams: NFC West Power Ranking after latest frenzy of moves
By Jason Reed
The LA Rams were winners of the NFC West last season for the first time since 2003. With every NFC West team making big moves, how does the division look now?
The LA Rams were a bit ahead of the curve this off-season in making trades. Los Angeles did not hesitate to trade for corners Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib far before any other significant deals were being made. The real NFL frenzy began on Tuesday, March 13, when countless teams were striking deals with the many free agents available.
Thus, the league has completely shifted in tone since just a week ago. Teams like the Minnesota Vikings and Denver Broncos got their quarterback of the future, signing Kirk Cousins and Case Keenum, respectively. Other teams, such as the Cleveland Browns, started adding countless pieces to bolster the team (we’ll get to that later).
The NFL off-season is proving to be one of the most entertaining of all the big four sports. Although the MLB, NBA and NHL definitely have a fair share of trades and big signings; none happen as fast as the NFL, though. Plus, the talent gap is much smaller from the worst to the best in the NFL. A team can go from a pretender to a contender with the snap of the fingers.
The NFC West may be the most impacted division in football from this latest frenzy. With a lot of moves in the books, and a lot more set to happen, here are our early NFC West power rankings.
