The Los Angeles Lakers have one of the more promising futures in basketball. With four potential future all-stars on the roster, we take a look at their best comparisons.

Say what you will about the last five years for the Los Angeles Lakers; since Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka took over operations the team has crafted a winning recipe. While the fruit of their labor has not yet resulted in a playoff caliber team, the front office has set the Lakers up for a bright, bright future.

Los Angeles currently has a core four of young stars that all could progress into all-star caliber. Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Julius Randle and Kyle Kuzma serve as the foundation for the rest of the franchise. Ingram and Randle maybe just a year or two away from being all-stars; Ball and Kuzma will be a bit behind them.

Not only are the Lakers drafting future all-stars, the front office is preparing for a splash signing in either the summer of 2018, 2019 or both. The list of potential stars is a long one; Paul George, LeBron James, DeMarcus Cousins, Klay Thompson, Kawhi Leonard and Jimmy Butler have al had ties at some point to LA.

All of those guys will be able to join the Lakers within the next two years.

However, none of that is a guarantee. For now, the only thing guaranteed is the young stars under contract. The Lakers have something special on their hands, they have the potential to breed three or more homegrown all-stars like the Golden State Warriors.

Let’s have some fun; here is each young star’s former all-star counterpart.
