The 2017-2018 NBA season is in its final chapter. With the coveted summer of 2018 fast approaching, the Lakers trade rumors will inevitably grow.

This offseason has been circled on your calendar if you are a fan of the Los Angeles Lakers. Dating back to last summer, the summer of 2018 has long been targetted as the offseason in which the Lakers will strike. The offseason in which all of the Lakers trade rumors will come to fruition and the team will be a title contender once more.

Los Angeles has done nothing to stop these Lakers trade rumors, either. If anything, the team has only strengthened the chances that some sort of big splash will be made. First, it was by trading D’Angelo Russell to get rid of Timofey Mozgov. Then, it was shipping away Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr.

Now, the Los Angeles Lakers have $61 million in practical cap space to play with, according to Spotrac.

This is the summer in which the Los Angeles Lakers are supposed to land Paul George, LeBron James or whatever combination of two superstars to help bring LA to the promise land. Of course, it is not that black and white, but Laker fans ought to expect some sort of superstar.

Not everything is going to be a superstar move, however. The Lakers need to re-sign Julius Randle after a stellar season. Los Angeles also has a first-round pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.

Starting from the least significant moving up in terms of impact, here are three way-too-early trades the Lakers should consider heading into the NBA offseason.
