The Los Angeles Lakers did a great job in improving this season. Now, we look forward to the summer of 2018 that has been riddled with Lakers rumors.

The Los Angeles Lakers‘ season is all about over. Los Angeles has a handful of games remaining before closing the chapter on the 2017-2018 season and looking towards the future. Although the Lakers did not make the leap to the NBA Playoffs, there were several positives that the team took from this season that will alter what they do in the future.

Now, the attention turns solely to the summer of 2018. For over a year, this offseason period has been circled by Laker fans and NBA analysts alike. Lakers rumors have all pointed to this summer; some rumors still stand, some have crumbled due to other moves throughout the NBA. Regardless, once the NBA Finals wrap up in early June, things will begin to get interesting.

The Lakers may still be a few years from being legitimate title contenders but they are knocking right on success’ door and are ought to be one of the most interesting teams to watch in 2017-2018.

A complete revamp could make the team title contenders, but the Lakers are not going to part ways with the young talent on the roster for other stars. Instead, the front office is likely going to look to add to what they already have present in Los Angeles.

Thus, we created our own five-step formula that, if everything goes right, should lead to success not only next season but for several years. Not only will this plan make the Lakers great next season, it will set the table for other offseason moves to make in the future.
