Weeks 5-8:

  • Week 5: at Seattle Seahawks

In previous years, this game would have been a very tough matchup. The Seattle Seahawks are notoriously great at home and can upset any team, regardless of the talent difference.

However, the Seahawks hit the end of the road on the Legion of Boom dynasty last season and Russell Wilson can only do so much. While Wilson will likely carry the Seahawks to a close fought game, it will ultimately fall in the Rams’ favor.

Score prediction: 21-17, Rams (4-1).

  • Week 6: at Denver Broncos

Normally, this game would reach out to me as a trap game. Case Keenum excelled against the LA Rams last season and LA is heading to the cold Rocky Mountains to face the Broncos in their yard.

While the Broncos’ defense was not as good last season as many had imagined, they are still very talented and should be able to keep the team in games. We all saw how good Keenum played last season by just managing the game with a great offense.

However, head coach Vance Joseph has not transitioned well into the head coaching role and by week 6 may already be on the hot seat. I see the Broncos’ defense making this a closer game than anyone had thought, with the Rams’ defensive line ultimately disrupting Keenum and the Broncos.

Score prediction: 16-10, Rams (5-1).

  • Week 7: at San Francisco 49ers

Jimmy Garaoppolo and the San Francisco 49ers are the most interesting team to watch in the 2018 season. With Garoppolo undefeated as a starter and the 49ers owning a high draft pick, the sky is the limit for this young team.

However, they still have a very tough matchup with the Rams who match their explosiveness and youth and raise the bar even higher. After a sluggish, ugly win against the Broncos, I expect an offensive showcase from both young quarterbacks and one of the best NFL games of the season.

Score prediction: 37-31, Rams (6-1).

  • Week 8: vs. Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers were pretty terrible without Aaron Rodgers last season. With Rodgers, they are a title contender each and every year. Rodgers is entering a contract year and knows he is the most valuable player in football, I expect him to have a monster season.

The LA Rams should win this game for every reason. They match up better than the Packers in every aspect except at quarterback. Expect Aaron Rodgers to have one of the best games of his career to keep the Packers close against this star-studded Rams team. Capping it off with his signature, last second, Aaron Rodgers drive.

Score prediction: 28-27, Packers. Rams: (6-2).
