1. Gerald Everett, TE

The Los Angeles Rams selected Gerald Everett in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Everett was part of a much larger overhaul that was meant to surround then second-year quarterback Jared Goff and new head coach Sean McVay with some weaponry.

Everett was also brought in alongside fellow draft picks Cooper Kupp and Josh Reynolds; the Rams also made a trade for Sammy Watkins, who served as the Rams’ leading touchdown catcher last season. With all the new additions, Everett quietly took a back seat and gave a decent, but forgettable, season.

Everett caught just 16 passes last season for 244 yards, however, he did haul in two touchdown passes as well.

Everett still has a ton of potential that has yet to be reached. The Los Angeles Rams are going to benefit when he does reach said potential, as tight end is the team’s weakest offensive position. Everett, alongside Tyler Higbee, provides a decent 1-2 punch, but Everett still has some left to prove.

He is going to be the future of the Rams at the tight end position, the time for him to start playing like a second-round pick is now.
