2. TE Hunter Henry

Hunter Henry does receive some love from the Los Angeles Chargers fan base. He definitely is a household name for the casual Chargers fan and has been bred to be Antonio Gates’ successor. With the Chargers not re-signing Gates for next season, Henry has now become the surefire number one option at the tight end position.

The thing with Henry is not a lot of people realize how good he actually is and how big of an impact he can have when he is included in the offense. With great receivers Keenan Allen and Tyrell Williams and a good receiving halfback rotation, Henry can become a third or even fourth option at times.

However, when the offense does include Henry, the results are great. Last season, Henry played in 14 games, 13 of which he was listed as a starter. Overall, Henry made 45 catches for 579 yards and four touchdowns, a pretty good year with all things considered.

Henry was targeted five or more times on eight different occasions last season. In those games, the Los Angeles Chargers were 7-1. The only loss was week two against Miami, which the team should have won in kicker Younghoe Koo did not shank the game-winning field goal attempt.

In fact, while Henry was on the field, the Chargers did not win a single game in which he was targeted less than five times. The other two wins the Chargers had Henry was not playing.
