5. Miles Bridges, F, Michigan State

Jonathan Wasserman Big Board ranking: 10

Miles Bridges is one of the most compelling forwards in the 2018 NBA Draft. Although Bridges is traditionally undersized for power forward, his ability as a stretch-four in a small ball line up is right on pace with coaches are doing in the NBA in 2018.

Several years ago, Bridges size would have driven him down the big board rankings. However, he is one of the most skillful forwards coming out of college and should be a consistent second or third scoring option behind a star in the NBA.

It is a toss up if Bridges will still be available by the time the 12th overall pick rolls around. He is valued in the 9-12 range, however, a team like the 76ers or Knicks are potential candidates to select Bridges with the 10th or ninth overall selections.

The biggest reason against drafting Bridges is the team essentially has a bigger version of him in Tobias Harris. Harris did thrive in Doc Rivers’ system, so if the team wants to disband and start anew Bridges could be a nice replacement for Harris.

However, with Harris, drafting Bridges does not make a ton of logistical sense.
