Wide receiver battle: Cofoper Kupp vs. Brandin Cofoks

This is the battle between two young receivers. A second-year receiver that has already created a connection with third-year quarterback, Jared Goff, and a new face in the receiving corp that has put up three straight 1000-yard seasons.

Watching Cooper Kupp and Brandin Cooks continually try to outdo each other in the passing game is going to create a lot of fireworks in the 2018 season.

The Los Angeles Rams have the best offense in football, the team scored the most points in the NFL last season. And while the offense may live through Todd Gurley, the passing game is still a huge success with Goff playing the role as a young gunslinger.

Goff’s playing style fits Kupp and Cooks perfectly and will create a headache for defenses to scheme against.

Cooks has some of the best speed in the NFL and can burn most corners on the line on vertical routes. Goff has the arm to complete passes deep and will likely find Cooks on a lot of streaks, deep posts and quick slants with a ton of yards after the catch.

As for Kupp, he is a dangerous Swiss Army Knife in the slot that can be a threat in short, medium and long yardage situations. While Kupp did not reach the 1000-yard mark last season, his 869 yards and five touchdowns are both more than Cooks had in his rookie year.

Cooks will serve as the premier wideout for the Rams which will only open the door for Kupp even further. It sounds absolutely crazy, but the Los Angeles Rams have two guys that can both have 1000-yard seasons.
