Los Angeles Rams: Roster battles that will be fun to watch in 2018

Cornerback battle: Marcus Peters vs. Aqib Talib
Former AFC West foes are now opposite each other on the same team in the NFC West and provide one of the best secondaries in all of football. Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib are two of the best corners in football and will have the honor of sharing the field on a down-by-down basis in 2018.
Heading into the offseason, the Rams’ secondary obviously needed some help. Former top corner, Trumaine Johnson, was out the door as the Rams decided to use the franchise tag on safety Lamarcus Joyner.
That left a massive gap in the secondary that could have been a huge problem for the Rams. Luckily, the front office did the smartest thing possible and acquired two Pro Bowl corners for relatively cheap trade packages.
Yes, both Talib and Peters have potential attitude issues that may cause some friction on the defense if things are not going well. Yes, both have been at the head of controversy before and that may be why they got traded in the first place.
However, both are still immensely talented and will only feed off of each other to continually outdo previous efforts. It will be fun to see who lines up on the opposing team’s best guy, who makes the first huge interception, who will serve as the leader of a young secondary.
There are so many great situations that can stem out of this cornerback pairing that it is hard not to get excited about them in 2018.
