The 2018 NBA Draft Combine is in the books and the Los Angeles Lakers are going to have an interesting pool of players to select from with the 25th overall pick.

Although the Los Angeles Lakers do not have their own selection in the 2018 NBA Draft, the team still has a first-round pick in the Cleveland Cavaliers’. That pick, the 25th overall, is not going to net the Lakers a surefire superstar but could land the Lakers a sleeper pick.

The Lakers have been good at selecting sleeper picks in the late first and second rounds. Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart were both taken in the latter half of the first-round; Kuzma making the All-Rookie First Team and Hart proving to be a productive role player off of the bench.

Before them, the Lakers had success in second-round picks, Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr. Ironically, Clarkson and Nance were the key pieces to the trade that landed the Los Angeles Lakers the 25th overall pick.

While it may be unfair to place too high of expectations on the front office, the Lakers have established a great reputation in the NBA Draft. With specific needs at both shooting guard and center, the Lakers have to follow suit with another excellent performance.

Not all of the possible selections the Lakers have are a shooting guard or center, however.

Thus, let’s dive into our Los Angeles Lakers 2018 NBA Draft big board to see who the Lakers may be tempted in selecting.
