3. G/F Tyreke Evans

Tyreke Evans is a good player. Last season, Evans averaged 19.4 points, 5.2 assists and 5.1 rebounds per game. Not only was Evans a contributing factor in all areas of the game, he has the flexibility to play either guard position as well as small forward effectively.

With these numbers and with the flexibility and versatility, Evans has become one of the most intriguing players to watch in this free agency class. The Los Angeles Lakers, who are looking to bring in stars and as much talent as possible, could potentially buy into the hype around Evans this summer.

Again, Evans is a good player and there is a great fit out there for him. It just isn’t with the Los Angeles Lakers. While he could play shooting guard for a team that desperately needs one, he simply is not worth the money he likely is going to make this summer.

Evans will likely make around $20 million this summer from a team that is desperate to bring in talent to contend. The Lakers have the cap space and can easily afford to give that Evans that money while also giving him a great place to play.

However, as good as his numbers were, he simply is not a superstar. Tyreke Evans is not going to lead the Lakers to anything. While his numbers were great, he produced them on a Memphis Grizzlies team that won just 20 games.

Evans is a good role player and will easily find a home this summer. The Lakers have more important things to worry about.
