Los Angeles Clippers fans know Boban Marjanovic as the towering backup center to DeAndre Jordan. Filmgoers will know him as an assassin in “John Wick: Chapter 3.”

The bright lights of Los Angeles undoubtedly grants people countless opportunities, especially for athletes. Los Angeles Clippers center Boban Marjanovic learned that in a great way as he was cast to be an assassin in “John Wick: Chapter 3.”

The John Wick franchise is one of the best action franchises to date. Former assassin John Wick is on a quest for vengeance. Marjanovic will play the role of an assassin, likely opposing Wick.

Which, sorry Clippers fans, probably means that Wick is going to kill Marjanovic in a great action sequence. They will probably use him in the towering monster role that seems unbeatable, only for Wick to eventually get the job done.

While this is no Michael Jordan and “Space Jam” this is a huge role for someone like Marjanovic. The John Wick franchise is arguably the best action franchise going right now (sorry, Fast and the Furious franchise) and this could lead to many other doors.

Perhaps this could be the door that opens many other opportunities, like with Wrestler Dave Bautista when he was cast as Diaz in “Riddick”.

The first John Wick movie was granted an 86 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. After being critically acclaimed, the film was greenlit for a sequel. The sequel, “John Wick: Chapter Two” did even better, with an 89 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Conversely, the new box office monster “Avengers: Infinity War” — which Bautista was in — has an 83 percent fresh rating. The John Wick franchise is obviously turning into a critical juggernaut.

Hopefully, this can open more doors for Marjanovic and may convince the center to take a pay cut to stay with the Clippers long-term. Heck, if he is getting movie roles out of it, why wouldn’t he want to stay?
