Both Paul George and LeBron James have their own individual ties to the Los Angeles Lakers. Now, the idea of both men joining the Lakers is plausible.

Paul George has been connected to the Los Angeles Lakers for over a year, dating back to when he was a member of the Indiana Pacers. His home team is in need of a superstar and following an early playoff exit on the Oklahoma City Thunder, LA becomes much more enticing.

However, Paul George cannot lead this group of Lakers alone to an NBA Championship. At least not right away.

On the other hand, there is LeBron James. James has his hands currently full with the Golden State Warriors, however, his connection to the Lakers is just as strong.

While other teams such as the Houston Rockets and Philadelphia 76ers are in the mix, the Lakers present a unique opportunity. LeBron can build his brand and extend his personal business past his basketball career by playing in LA. Sure, he could probably lead this young Lakers’ team to the Finals — if there wasn’t the roadblock of the Golden State Warriors.

Simply put, if either James or George wants to be a Laker, they need help. Luckily, they are in a position to help each other.

The idea of the two teaming up stems from ESPN NBA analyst Adrian Wojnarowski. Wojnarowski stated that James and George are going to need to meet this summer to discuss potentially joining the Los Angeles Lakers.

And while it was just a statement, nobody knows the inside circles of the NBA like Wojnarowkski. This cannot be taken with a grain of salt.

Thus, Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka, if you are reading, we conducted the perfect four-step guide to create a title-worthy team around LeBron James and Paul Geroge.
