Q: Would You Rather the Los Angeles Angels trade for a reliever or a starter to stay in contention with the Astros and the Mariners?

The answer is clear here, the Angels obviously need bullpen help wherever they can get it. While the starting pitching has struggled at times for the Halos, the potential of this rotation, when healthy, is promising.

Plus, even at their worst, this rotation is good enough to give the great Angels’ offense a chance to win games, especially down the stretch. Any game with four runs or fewer scored should be easy for the Halos to win. While it does not always work out that way, the Los Angeles Angels do not need stellar starting pitching.

However, it is the bullpen that has brought the pitching down as a whole and has ultimately lost games. And while the bullpen has battled injuries, even when healthy, they are not that great.

I would like the Angels to go out and try to get a wipeout left-hander. Zach Britton is the best in the game when healthy, however, has health issues of his own. Luckily for the Angels, Padres’ closer Brad Hand also gives the team the same outlook.

Right-handed pitcher Shane Green of the Detroit Tigers could be a cheaper alternative. Raisel Iglesias is another arm that may not cost an arm and a leg. If the Angels are willing to spend big, I like the idea of acquiring Kelvin Herrera, who has a 0.79 ERA in 22.2 innings pitched.
