2. The LA Rams stand out from the rest of the NFC West

Some people may argue this, but the NFC West does not look like it is going to be all that special in 2018. While the San Francisco 49ers have been absolutely hyped up and the Seattle Seahawks are still the Seahawks, the LA Rams are already a few notches above the rest of the team’s in the NFC West.

The San Francisco 49ers are probably going to be in playoff contention, I will give them that. However, I am hopping off of the bandwagon now and declaring that they won’t actually make the postseason, not yet.

Jimmy Garappolo is great and is going to give the Rams’ some headaches. However, the overall roster will hold Garappolo back. If anyone is going to sneak a game against the Rams, it will be the 49ers, but I do not see that happening.

The Legion of Boom is no more in Seattle and it would not be surprising to see Earl Thomas traded at some point this season. The offensive line is still pretty bad and Russell Wilson lost a huge target in Jimmy Graham. Wilson will carry the Seahawks to relevancy, but anything more than eight wins is far-fetched.

As for the Cardinals, the team did address the quarterback need and is getting David Johnson back and healthy. However, the team is also losing the great head coaching of Bruce Arians. While the Cardinals are talented enough to drag games out with Johnson, they ultimately will be overmatched by the Rams.

Quite frankly, the Rams’ goal should be to go 6-0 against the division this season. While that may be the goal every year, this year, that seems more than possible.
