The Los Angeles Dodgers look to win their six consecutive game and second straight sweep in the Father’s Day series finale against the Giants.

The Los Angeles Dodgers look just about as unbeatable as they have all season. Los Angeles is on a five-game winning streak and is looking for a much-needed division sweep over the San Francisco Giants.

The offense has not been electric for the Dodgers but has done enough to win the last three games. After dropping12 runs on the Rangers on Tuesday, the Dodgers have scored three runs in each of the last three games.

That has been enough for the Dodgers, whose lights-out pitching staff has allowed five runs over the last three games. The pitching staff has allowed three or fewer runs in five of the last seven games played.

With the Dodgers facing Madison Bumgarner on Saturday, Sarah went with the Bumgarner killer himself, Enrique Hernandez. Hernandez delivered the game-winning two-run home run off of Bumgarner in the fifth inning.

I went with another player that has a history with Bumgarner in Yasiel Puig. Puig, however, was unable to record a hit and ended my four-game hitting streak in the process.

Sarah’s pick — Current streak 2: Joc Pederson

My pick for today is Joc Pederson. He’s been absolutely on fire lately but is the kind of player Doc likes to put in the lineup when he matches up really well with the starter (Kiké Hernandez starter in center last night in place of Joc, and boy did it pay off.) Pederson did appear in last night’s win over the Giants but only in the 9th, playing left in place of Matt Kemp.

In today’s finale against the Giants, as the Dodgers go for the sweep, I think Pederson could have a really strong day, whether it be as a starter or pinch hitter. Pederson had a rough season last year, but he is having a bounce-back year. He’s hit 8 homers so far and is batting .281 — well above his career average of .229.

I think that today, as the Dodgers face Chris Stratton, Pederson could be one of the guys to get a knock.

Jason’s pick — Current streak 0: Yasmsani Grandal

Yasmani Grandal is fresh off an off-day and will more than likely return to the middle of the batting order against a right-handed pitcher in Chris Stratton.

Grandal has faced Stratton just four times in his career and has one hit off the right-hander. However, that one hit was a three-run shot, so Grandal has a taste of a power stroke against Stratton.

With rookie Caleb Ferguson on the mound, who is still learning the ropes, the Dodgers’ offense is going to have to step it up from the last few days of production. With this in mind, it seems like the middle of the order is in for a huge day.

Grandal will more than likely bat anywhere from third to fifth in tomorrow’s game. Throughout the course of the game, Grandal will get one big opportunity with runners on base to turn the tide of the game.

Next: The hypocrisy of suspending Kemp

Grandal will deliver and will net himself at least two RBIs in Sunday’s contest. You heard it here first.
