The Los Angeles Chargers are one of the best sleeper playoff teams next season. With a playoff berth is bound to be multiple Pro Bowlers.

The Los Angeles Chargers, despite not adding much this offseason, have one of the most complete rosters in the entire NFL.

Because of that, the Chargers have become the favorite dark horse to make a run deep into the NFL Playoffs this season. While the team may need to get certain things under bay first (like kicking) it is definitely possible.

The Los Angeles Chargers are going to have some standout players leading the way towards the team’s first playoff berth in five seasons. Those players are going to be the Chargers’ Pro Bowlers and there could be quite a few.

In order from most likely to least likely, here are all of the players that could make the 2019 Pro Bowl on the Chargers.

Joey Bosa, DE

Joey Bosa is the heart and soul of the defense and will be in the running for Defensive Player of the Year next season. Bosa is already putting up similar numbers to last year’s winner, Aaron Donald. Pro Bowl honors for Bosa seems like a foregone conclusion.

Casey Hayward, CB

Joey Bosa is the engine that keeps the defensive line running and is what makes it one of the best pass-rushing defensive lines in football. Casey Hayward is the engine behind the secondary that is becoming one of the scariest to pass against in the NFL.

Hayward had a big breakout year last year and proved to the entire NFL that he belongs in the elite tier. Fans should expect nothing less than a Pro Bowl performance from Hayward.

Melvin Ingram, DE

As Joey Bosa continues to succeed so will Melvin Ingram, who has emerged as the perfect 1-2 punch candidate to play alongside Bosa. Ingram will get to the quarterback often with the stellar defensive line around him and should sack his way to his second-straight Pro Bowl.

Philip Rivers, QB

Philip Rivers is the face of the Los Angeles Chargers and any pursuit of a championship ring is for him. If the Chargers are going to succeed then Rivers needs to fire on all cylinders. Spoiler alert: he probably will.

Keenan Allen, WR

Keenan Allen is Rivers’ number one target and will likely pt together another great year, if he can stay healthy. Last season was Allen’s first as a Pro Bowler and he is in prime position to go back-to-back.

Melvin Gordon, RB

The Los Angeles Chargers have always thrived when Rivers can rely on the running game and Gordon is turning into one of the best in the game at running the football. While draft classmate Todd Gurley may have surpassed him, Gordon will be a Pro Bowl candidate.

Russell Okung, LT

If Russell Okung plays like he did last season then he should easily make his second consecutive Pro Bowl. This offensive line looks like it is turning into one of the best in the NFL and Okung, at left tackle, is the most important piece of the puzzle.

Derwin James, FS

Derwin James was one of the best prospects in the 2018 NFL Draft yet fell to 17th overall where the Los Angeles Chargers selected him. James is going to fit in nicely in the LA secondary and should be able to put up serious results in year one.

That is eight serious Pro Bowl candidates for the Los Angeles Chargers, at least five of which are undoubtedly going to make the cut.

It is evident that the Chargers are one of the most talented teams in all of football. Now all LA has to do next season is go out and prove it.
