The ten best teams in Los Angeles Dodgers history

2. 1963: 99-63 (Won World Series)

The 1963 Dodgers, much like the 1965 version two years later, was heavily reliant on Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale as the heart and soul of the team. However, a little-added help allowed the Dodgers to be two games better than they were two years later as well as have more postseason success.

While both teams won the World Series, the 1963 Dodgers World Series win was much more impressive. The Dodgers swept the New York Yankees that year whereas two years later it took seven games to defeat the Minnesota Twins. 1963 was the only year that the Dodgers swept their opponents in the World Series.
