Today the Dodgers look to finish strong against the Chicago Cubs, sending Clayton Kershaw to the mound against José Quintana.

For the first time in what feels like forever, Clayton Kershaw will be making a start at Dodger Stadium. Though it seems pretty unbelievable, our great and powerful ace is 1-4 but boasts a sub-3 ERA. He’ll face José Quintana, who fans may remember started Game 5 of the 2017 NLCS, one the Dodgers would go on to win with the help of Kiké Hernandez.

That was the last time the Dodgers faced the Cubs in 2017, and today will be the last time they face Cubs until a potential postseason matchup in October.

Last night, a lot of Dodgers got hits, and they got their hits in early. By the second inning, both of our picks had gotten a knock, extending Jason’s streak to two, and mine to a season-high eight.

So as the Dodgers wrap up their season series against the Cubs, they send the one of the best there is to the mound.

Here’s who Jason and I think will get a knock in this afternoon’s finale.

Jason’s Pick: Current Streak-2: Logan Forsythe

Logan Forsythe is not the most reliable person to pick for this series considering he is hitting in hte low .200s and has been pretty bad during his Dodgers tenure.

However, Forsythe gets the favorable matchup against a southpaw tonight and will likely rope a double into the right center gap. He has been hitting better as of late and still hits left-handed pitching fairly well, so there is promise that this pick can come through.

Sarah’s Pick: Current Streak 8: Justin Turner

Okay, so I thought I was taking a little bit of a risk in picking Max Muncy last night, but sure enough, he went and hit a home run, handing him the team lead in balls that left the park. Today, I am going with someone who hit one of the most historic homers in Dodger Stadium against the Cubs; Justin Turner.

Turner is a leader on this team ( I mean, at this point, it feels like everyone is a leader) but Turner is a guy you put your faith in. He’s the guy you ask to borrow a bat from when you are in a slump.

Him, and Chase Utley.

Though I care far more about a Dodger win than I do about how high my streak is, it’s pretty cool, because it means that on any given night, these guys are hitting. It means that they aren’t losing low-scoring games too often, and are hitting homers at an unprecedented rate.
