As the NFL season approaches, we are going to start ranking how the Los Angeles Chargers stack up against the rest of the AFC West, starting with quarterbacks.

There are some pretty high expectations coming out of Los Angeles Chargers‘ faithful. For the first time since Philip Rivers and LaDainian Tomlinson both graced the backfield, the Los Angeles Chargers have a legitimate shot at making a deep run into the NFL playoffs.

Of course, there are going to be things that the Chargers need to overcome in order to make that run. The most important is the kicking game, which the team struggled immensely in last season. However, with Caleb Sturgis now assigned the kicking duty, the Chargers should be ok in that department.

There is also the injuries and the pure Chargers bad luck that the team is going to have to fight through. The Chargers definitely have the roster to overcome these hardships, it is now just a matter of putting up or shutting up.

Los Angeles stacks up pretty nicely against every team in the AFC West in most departments of the roster, hence why they have emerged as the favorites to win the division.

With that in mind, we are going to start ranking the teams in the AFC West based on position, starting with Philip Rivers and the quarterback position.
