Brook Lopez: Atlanta Hawks

The free agent and draft class at center widely impact where Brook Lopez will land this summer. The draft class was top-heavy in elite centers which will keep any rebuilding team away from paying Lopez a larger salary just to have a shot at being competitive.

However, an interesting outlook at center this offseason leaves Lopez out of the spotlight. Any contending team in need of a center is going to look at free agent DeMarcus Cousins or potentially trading for DeAndre Jordan. With young talents like Jusuf Nurkic and Nerlens Noel also on the market, it is hard to find a good fit for Lopez.

Thus, we think that a rebuilding team like the Atlanta Hawks will net Lopez to a two-year deal worth roughly $10-15 million annually. This move is a good one for the Hawks, who could use Lopez as a trade chip at the deadline the next two seasons or simply could serve as a veteran talent to surround Trae Young with.

It is not the best fit logistically but looks like the most realistic fit for Brook Lopez this summer.
