The Los Angeles Lakers are a revamped team from a year ago with LeBron James and a slew of other talents. However, the team still have a big hole at center.

The Los Angeles Lakers have taken an interesting approach to this offseason that leaves their place in the Western Conference still unclear. Los Angeles added the best player on the planet, LeBron James, to a young core with trade flexibility and a ton of cap space.

However, instead of landing someone else like Paul George, who instead opted to stay in Oklahoma City, the Lakers added a few new veteran faces on one-year deals. Lance Stephenson, Rajon Rondo, JaVale McGee all signed new one-year deals. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope re-signed for one year and $12 million.

There obviously is a master plan for the Lakers and the front office is giving the team the opportunity to remain flexible next offseason. However, that does not mean the Lakers are done making a splash this summer as five big names have been connected to the Lakers as trade targets.

If the team wants to compete, though, the front office is going to have to figure out what to do at center. Currently, JaVale McGee is slated to be the team’s starting center with Ivica Zubac serving as backup. 2018 first-round pick Moritz Wagner is also an option, however, he suits a stretch-four role better.

Regardless, after passing on DeMarcus Cousins on a minimum deal, letting Julius Randle walk and failing to re-sign Brook Lopez, the Lakers front office has some questions to answer. Here are three still available centers that can at least help answer the question marks at the center position.
