The Los Angeles Chargers and the rest of the AFC West all have pretty good pass-catching units. Here are the four teams ranked, in order.

So far, we have ranked the Los Angeles Chargers and the rest of the AFC West by quarterbacks and by running backs. Now, we head to the next gear of the offense, which is the pass catchers themselves.

By pass catchers, we essentially mean the tight end and wide receiver position. We did not want to limit it to just wide receivers and then do another article for tight ends. We decided to clump them all together as they all play a huge role in the passing.

Every team on this list is pretty talented, including the team on the bottom.

4. Denver Broncos

Again, the Denver Broncos are still pretty talented in the receiving department and are at least on par with the league’s median talent level in that department.

The pass catchers on the Broncos are top-heavy, with two great receivers in Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders. Neither Thomas or Sanders are in their peaks, however, both can still produce at a decent level and may see an uptick in production with new quarterback Case Keenum.

Behind them is a decent supporting cast led by Courtland Sutton and Isaiah McKenzie. This duo is definitely nothing to write home about but will be decent enough with Keenum under center.

Tight end is the weakest part of the pass catchers. Starting tight end Jake Butt missed all of his rookie season last year and backup tight end Jeff Heuerman has 283 career receiving yards over the last two seasons.

Thomas and Sanders carry this group to at least be decent. From there, the Broncos are going to have to outplay expectations.
