2. Lonzo Ball is proficient in almost every aspect of the game

Perhaps the biggest reason why NBA, and certain Laker, fans do not like Lonzo Ball is that he is not the flashy scorer that the league has come accustomed to today. Stephen Curry and the rest of the league’s sharpshooters have created an image for the prototypical NBA player in 2018.

Lonzo Ball simply did not fit that prototype. which leads to many thinking that he is already turning into a bust. If you only look at the 10.2 points per game on 36 percent shooting, of course, you are going to question Ball.

However, Ball has never been labeled as an elite scorer and has still proven that he can be one of the best point guards in the league in multiple different areas.

He is an elite rebounder for his position and uses his six-foot-six size grad boards and start transitions. In those transitions, as well as halfcourt sets, Ball showcases his elite ability to play the basketball, see the floor and open lanes for his teammates.

He is a sneaky good defender as well. While Ball will not be this shutdown guy, he is a pick-pocket type guard that can make plays happen on defense.

Even better, Ball is not an awful scorer and will only get more comfortable with his jumper as his career goes along. It is not all about scoring, you know.
