2. Signing Michael Beasley

Michael Beasley is the newest signing by the Los Angeles Lakers and is the second-best post-LeBron signing the team has made. While the Lakers signing Beasley was definitely a surprise because of LeBron, like it was with Stephenson, Beasley provides much-needed bench depth that is going to create an impact at other positions.

Bringing in Beasley gives the Lakers a great 1-2 punch off the bench at forward with Kyle Kuzma and Beasley. Kuzma and Beasley can both play either the three or the four and will change roles in certain circumstances and rotations.

However, this also helps the center position as it opens the door for Moritz Wagner to play more traditional center than power forward. While Wagner is the perfect stretch-four for the NBA, he is a seven-footer that can use his size to give the Lakers a much-needed boost at center off the bench.

Beasley is a great scoring option for the Lakers to add to an already deep roster. While the team may not have another superstar (assuming Brandon Ingram does not make a huge progression), the team has one of the deepest benches in basketball.

That will allow the Lakers to stay fresh during the season leading up to the postseason and will help the team make a deep playoff run.
