Los Angeles Lakers: The three players that will win awards next season

The Los Angeles Lakers boast a reinvented roster heading into the 2018-2019 season. On that roster, there will be three award-winners by season’s end.

The Los Angeles Lakers are likely going to be the best turnaround team next season. After missing the playoffs for four straight years, a young Lakers core showed plenty of promise last season and won 35 games.

While winning 35 games and missing the playoffs is not something to be overly proud of, the fruits of the front office’s labor finally started to bloom. Nearly three months after the last game of the season, the biggest, but not last, step towards title contention occurred.

The Los Angeles Lakers made true of all the year-long promise of LeBron James becoming a Laker. With James, the Lakers have brought in a group of talented veterans, all on one-year deals, to lead LA to its first postseason appearance in six years.

The future is bright regardless for the Lakers. If the team cannot win the title next season, there is plenty of flexibility to bring in another star.

Before that happens though, the Lakers are going to produce fireworks on the court during th 2018-2019 season, with or without a title.

With these fireworks is going to be some great individual performances that warrant some hardware. Here are the three Lakers that are going to win an award this season.
