Los Angeles Lakers forward Brandon Ingram is entering his third season in the league looking to progress in his career alongside LeBron James.

Out of all of the young stars on the Los Angeles Lakers roster, Brandon Ingram arguably has the highest ceiling and is the best all-around player.

The Lakers selected Ingram with the second overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. Although it is still early, Ingram looks to be the best of three straight second overall picks for the Lakers; D’Angelo Russell, Ingram and Lonzo Ball.

While Ingram did not have the rookie season that many Lakers’ fans were expecting, he showed signs of promise that translated into a solid sophomore year — when he was on the court.

Ingram averaged 16.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game last season. The only problem was that Ingram played in 59 games, missing over 20 due to injury.

However, Ingram was still very solid for the three-quarters of a season in which he was on the court and producing for the Los Angeles Lakers. With Lebron James now in Los Angeles, Ingram and the Lakers are presented with an interesting dynamic.

While LeBron is a natural small forward, Ingram will likely still be in the lineup with James playing power forward. Big things seem to be on the horizon for Ingram, especially if James takes him under his wing and mentors him.

To continue our daily series, here are three bold expectations for Brandon Ingram next season in his third year in the league and first year playing alongside a true superstar.
