2. Brandon Ingram will evolve into a premier shot blocker

Brandon Ingram has shown the ability to do it all on the basketball court. Not only has he been a really efficient scorer through two years in the league, he has also held his own in the rebounding department as well as distribute the ball nicely.

When Ingram reaches his ceiling, he could be good for 25 points, seven rebounds and five assists per game. While there is obviously a long time between now and then, that showcases how well-rounded Ingram is offensively.

Defensively, on the other hand, Ingram has the potential to be really special and just needs to take the extra steps to get to that destination.

Next season, we are going to see a stronger, meaner Brandon Ingram that is going to use his size and lanky frame to become a premier shot blocker for a small forward.

While he may not be a Rudy Gobert, Ingram can start to make the steps to follow in the footsteps of Kevin Durant, someone who has a very similar play style and frame.

Durant averaged 1.8 blocks per game to Ingram’s 0.7. While that is a big difference and Ingram will not make up that ground, it should be noted that Durant also averaged 0.7 blocks in his sophomore season.

If trends mean anything, Ingram should surpass the one block per game threshold and never really look back.
