1. Philip Rivers will lead the NFL in passing yards

This is definitely a bold prediction, especially for anyone that is sleeping on Rivers being one of the best quarterbacks in the league next season. However, as bold as it seems, Rivers already got pretty close to this feat last season and is going to accomplish it for the first time since 2010.

Rivers actually finished second in the league in passing yards last season, trailing Tom Brady by just 62 yards when it was all said and finished. If Rivers had completed just one more deep ball to Tyrell Williams, or if there were a handful of drops that did not occur, he easily would have been the yardage leader last season.

Plus, the Chargers are going to have some good opposition to throw against next season. The Kansas City Chiefs allowed the third-most passing yards last season and the Oakland Raiders allowed the eighth-most. LA faces both teams twice, both teams also losing their premier cornerbacks to the Los Angeles Rams.

The team is also facing a Seattle team with no Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor or potentially Earl Thomas; the Titans, who allowed the seventh-most passing yards a year ago; the Browns and Bills, which should be blowouts and countless other teams that Rivers will throw the ball a lot against.
