The 2018-2019 NBA schedule has been announced and the Los Angeles Lakers are one of the most featured teams throughout the nation.

The Los Angeles Lakers were already one of the most prestigious and watched teams in the NBA, even when the franchise was struggling. The bright lights of Hollywood and Los Angeles’ most repped team led to plenty of nationally televised games, even when the team missed the playoffs for five consecutive seasons.

Throw in the biggest name in basketball and arguably the biggest name in American sports, LeBron James, and the Los Angeles Lakers have become the team to watch next season.

While the Lakers may not be the team to beat next year, that is still the Golden State Warriors, LA has reclaimed the throne of the NBA’s bread and butter.

The Los Angeles Lakers have the most nationally televised games next season, with 43 of the team’s 82 games being broadcast nationwide. That is a seven-game bump from the 36 nationally televised games last season.

Per Scott Davis of Business Insider, the Los Angeles Lakers will play seven straight games on national TV from January 9 to January 22.

Aside from the nationally televised schedule, the NBA schedule is typically pretty uniform with very little change in regards to who the Lakers play and how many times the team plays them. This is not the NFL or the MLB where two teams (like the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees) go three years in between contests.

Yet still, with the added dynamic of LeBron James, there is going to be some fun games to watch next season. Here are our picks for the five most entertaining games of the 2018-2019 Lakers season.
