Los Angeles Rams: Three bold predictions for Jared Goff this season
By Jason Reed
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff came into his own in year two and has set the bar even higher for himself as he enters his third season.
Sports can be rough, especially in the NFL. And most of it can be our faults, as we often judge players to quickly, to unfairly or simply to wrong and make a brash judgment about their career and what provides for their livelihood.
A perfect example of this is Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff. The Rams made a pretty big splash by trading up to the first overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft with high hopes of Goff becoming the face of the franchise as it moved back to LA.
Goff’s first season was anything but Hollywood-like as the rookie was primarily a back-up for the struggling Case Keenum. When he did see time on the field, he seemed like he wasn’t ready for the bright lights of the NFL.
However, despite that being a small seven-game sample size, many wrote Jared Goff off before he career really began. That was fitting with the rest of the Rams, who were not expected to be as good as the team was last season.
All it took was a new head coach and some added tools around Goff and he could realize his potential and show the league what he is capable of. The best part? It was only his second season and he is barely getting started.
Year number three is going to be huge for Goff, who needs to build on last year, not start regressing. With that being said, here are three bold predictions for Goff next season.
