1. Jared Goff will surpass the 4,000-yard mark

One of the best traits about Jared Goff is his willingness to go deep and run the offense as a true gunslinger like Brett Favre. While Goff still has a very long way to go before he ever reaches the same level of success as Favre, he has a play style that is proven to be effective in the NFL.

That play style, mixed with the added targets that he did not have the year before and Goff was stacking up the yardage on a weekly basis. This led to quite a few blowouts last season and almost put Goff in the 4,000-yard club.

Goff had 3,804 passing yards last season, one game shy of hitting 4,000. What makes it worse is that Goff sat out week 17 against the San Francisco 49ers as it had no playoff implications. If Goff and company would have played, barring a complete disaster from Goff, he easily would have hit 4,000 yards.

Next season Goff is going to make leaps in his game that naturally will lead to 4,000 yards; heck, he should have hit that total last season before making improvements for this year.

Last season, only eight quarterbacks surpassed 4,000 yards. Those eight were Tom Brady, Philip Rivers, Matthew Stafford, Drew Brees, Ben Roethlisberger, Matt Ryan, Kirk Cousins and Alex Smith. Goff will join that class.
