The Los Angeles Lakers’ schedule for next season has been announced and here is how the team will fair with LeBron James now in purple and gold.

Unlike the MLB or the NFL, the NBA schedule has very small changes each season. No matter what, each team will play every out of conference team two times and play every in conference team at least three times.

Every year, each team plays 10 conference teams four times (including the teams in the same division) and the other four conference teams three times.

Thus, the Los Angeles Lakers schedule was not a matter of who the team plays, but when and where the team was playing. However, with the new-look roster, it is always fun to predict things now that the schedule is out.

Starting with the Pacific Division, here is what the Lakers’ record will be against each team.

Pacific Division:

Golden State Warriors: 1-3

The Golden State Warriors are the best team in the NBA and are going to play LeBron James and the Los Angeles Laker particularly hard in each of the teams’ four matchups.

None of these games will be taken lightly by either side and every single game is likely going to be very closely contested. However, with the talent advantage, the Warriors will take the season series while dropping one in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Clippers: 3-1.

The Los Angeles Clippers do not look like the team is going to be very good next season. With the Clippers dominating LA the last few years, the Lakers are going to come out and reclaim what is theirs and win the season series.

Phoenix Suns: 3-1

The Phoenix Suns have been one of the worst teams in the league the last several seasons but have some promise heading into next year. A young three consisting of Devin Booker, Josh Jackson and DeAndre Ayton will take the team far in a few years. Expect Phoenix to squeeze out a victory on their home court.

Sacramento Kings: 4-0

The Sacramento Kings are not all that good and really should not beat the Los Angeles Lakers at all next season. I expect at least one close game, but James should have a field day in his four games against the Kings.

Overall record vs Pacific Division: 11-5.
