Southwest Division:

Dallas Mavericks: 3-0

The first season sweep of this list, the Los Angeles Lakers should have no problem dealing with the Dallas Mavericks with LeBron James. While it will be fun to watch Luka Doncic, the Lakers are the deeper team and will collect all three wins.

Houston Rockets: 1-3

Like with the Golden State Warriors, the Houston Rockets have a clear talent advantage over the Lakers and LeBron will carry LA to one win against James Harden and Chris Paul. These games will be closer than the Warriors games, however, the Rockets will take the season series.

Memphis Grizzlies: 2-1

If the Los Angeles Lakers played two games at home against the Grizzlies than I would have given the team the three-game sweep. However, with two games in Memphis, the Lakers are bound to lose to the Grizzlies at least once next season.

New Orleans Pelicans: 2-2

These games are going to be very fun to watch as they present two similar dynamics: one superstar and a cast of players looking to improve and help the effort. Throw in Julius Randle to the Anthony Davis-LeBron James matchup and the two sides should take their respective home games.

San Antonio Spurs: 1-3

The San Antonio Spurs are going to be a lot better than many people think next year. While many view losing Kawhi Leonard as a downgrade, a playoff team without Leonard added a top-three two guard in DeMar DeRozan.

Overall record vs. Southwest Division: 9-9; Overall record vs. Western Conference: 30-22
