Los Angeles Rams: Three bold predictions for the defense
By Jason Reed
The Los Angeles Rams have one of the most promising defenses heading into next season and is filled with plenty of new faces.
The Los Angeles Rams underwent a complete turnaround on the defensive side of the ball this offseason after focusing mostly on the offensive side of the ball the previous offseason. The gameplan worked for the offense and if the game plan works for the Rams, it could be one of the best defenses in the league.
The Rams first brought in two cornerbacks to help the thin secondary, both of which are Pro Bowlers, Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters. Los Angeles also signed Sam Shields, who has not played in quite some time but could become an impact player down the stretch.
Just that would have been good enough for the Rams, who already boasted a great defensive line headlined by 2018 Defensive Player of the year, Aaron Donald. However, the Rams obviously did not stop there and signed free agent Ndamukong Suh, producing one of the scariest interior lines in football that we have seen.
Overall, this Rams defense is immensely talented and the sky really is the limit for this group. While attitudes and egos could get in the way, the sweet taste of victory will calm those emotions and ultimately make this a cohesive unit.
With that being said, here are three bold predictions for the Los Angeles Rams defense next season under defensive Coorindator Wade Phillips.
