Number six and five:

6. Wide receiver

The Los Angeles Rams were much better at wide receiver than many may have expected last season. The addition of Robert Woods was a great one, rookie Cooper Kupp proved to be a great option for Jared Goff out of the slot and Sammy Watkins led the team in total touchdowns despite not doing much more.

This season, the Rams got even better at receiver despite losing Watkins to the Kansas City Chiefs. Brandin Cooks is a noticeable upgrade from Watkins and fits alongside the gunslinging Goff perfectly.

Woods will be a great second option yet again and Kupp is only going to get better in his second season. The receiving corps may come in sixth but have the most room to grow next season.

5. Quarterback

Jared Goff had the farthest thing from a sophomore slump last season and proved to be a great first overall selection in the 2016 NFL Draft, even though Carson Wentz also had an MVP-caliber season.

Goff did have some help with a great receiving corps and a great running game which certainly opened up the passing options for him throughout the season.

However, you cannot take away from what Goff accomplished simply because the rest of the offense was also great. Thus, based on last season and the progressions he should make, Goff leads the quarterbacks to be the fifth-best position group on the team.
