The Los Angeles Chargers conclude the preseason with a game against the San Francisco 49ers and three key position battles to watch.

Football is almost back. As fun as watching the Los Angeles Chargers in the preseason can be, football is not really back until that opening kick off on the first week of regular season action.

The Chargers are almost there with one final preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers. With most of the roster intact after training camp, chances are we won’t see much, if at all, of the starters on Thursday.

Instead, this game is going to be used to decide the final roster battles on the depth chart. With a 53-man roster to make and 89 players currently on the roster, the team is going to need to make plenty of cuts.

Most of these cuts will be an easy decision to make. However, there still are some up in the air heading into the final preseason game.

Not all of these position battles are about who gets cut, as in some of these instances both players with making the depth chart with one securing the desired role.

Regardless, here are the three biggest roster battles you should be watching as the Los Angeles Chargers take on the San Francisco 49ers.
